CANNA Silica – Stronger Stems and Better Environmental Resilience

CANNA Silica is a concentrated silicon supplement designed to support stronger, healthier plants throughout the full growing cycle. Its combination of colloidal and nano-sized silicon particles helps make the silicon more readily available to the root zone than many traditional silicate products.

For best results, add CANNA Silica to the reservoir first. Adjust the solution to approximately pH 7.0 before adding base nutrients. Do not use it alongside PK 13/14, as the additional potassium may increase the risk of nutrient imbalance.

Why use silicon?

Silicon becomes part of the plant’s cell structure after uptake. This can help create firmer stems, stronger branches and thicker leaves, giving the plant better physical support as it develops.

It can also help plants cope with demanding conditions such as heat, colder periods, dry conditions and changes in nutrient strength. Silicon supports the plant’s natural structure while helping water and nutrients move efficiently through the crop.

How to apply CANNA Silica

1. Fill the reservoir with the required amount of water.
2. Shake the bottle thoroughly before measuring.
3. Add 1–2ml per litre of water.
4. Mix well and adjust the solution to approximately pH 7.0.
5. Add your CANNA base nutrients and any compatible supplements.
6. Check the final EC and pH, then adjust the root-zone pH to suit your medium. A typical hydro or coco range is 5.2–6.2.

Adding CANNA Silica may raise the base EC by approximately 0.25–0.5 mS/cm, so take this into account when preparing your feed.

CANNA Silica can be used with soil, coco and hydroponic systems. Use it as part of a complete CANNA feeding programme and follow the product label for the most accurate application guidance.

Frequently asked questions

Can CANNA Silica be used with PK 13/14?
CANNA advises against using the two products together. CANNA Silica already supplies potassium, so adding another strong potassium booster may create an excess and increase the chance of nutrient lockout or leaf damage.

What is the advantage of the nano and colloidal formula?
The formula combines very small nano particles with colloidal silicon to keep the supplement evenly distributed in the solution and support efficient root uptake.

Can it be used during hot weather?
Yes. It is best introduced early as part of a preventative routine, but it can also be used during periods of heat or environmental stress to support the plant’s natural water-management processes.

Will it work in every growing medium?
Yes. CANNA Silica is suitable for soil, coco and hydroponic growing systems.
