Why Use a Contactor Instead of a Standard Timer?

Ordinary plug-in timers are generally not intended to directly switch large banks of high-powered lighting. The start-up current created when several fixtures fire simultaneously can place considerable stress on the timer contacts.

A contactor separates the timing function from the heavy electrical switching. The timer tells the system when to turn on or off, while the contactor handles the main load. This provides a more suitable control method for larger lighting installations.

Simple Centralised Control

Install the controller in a suitable position, connect your compatible lighting and auxiliary equipment to the labelled outlets, then programme the built-in timer for your required lighting schedule.
